Order Fulfillment Specialist/UPS I

About the Role

The Order Fulfillment Specialist assembles kits, prepares parts for shipment using UPS and FedEx systems, and processes requests according to the bill of materials. Responsibilities include pulling parts, preparing shipments or assembly kits, verifying order accuracy, and completing electronic transactions in the warehouse management system before parts leave the area. • Follow computerized pick‑and‑pack instructions to assemble and pack orders. • Gather, inspect, and package parts, creating carrier labels and shipping documentation. • Verify order completeness and accuracy before moving to delivery area. • Organize and restock inventory in the UPS area, maintaining adequate stock levels. • Communicate inventory shortages to the Shop Supervisor and assist with regular physical inventories. • Operate nail and staple guns, pallet jacks, and forklifts after training. • Apply common‑sense judgment to follow instructions and resolve straightforward problems.

What You Bring

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Work 1st shift (7 am‑3:30 pm, Mon‑Fri) and lift 50‑75 lb regularly. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and detail‑oriented organizational skills. • Perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages. • Experience with UPS/UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and handling hazardous shipments. • Working knowledge of SAP. • Hold a high school diploma/GED with at least one month of related experience or equivalent education. • Proficient with staple and nail guns and other hand/power tools.
