Job Highlights
About the Role
The Senior Legal Counsel – KSABYP will operate within a demanding, international environment, providing comprehensive legal support across Saudi Arabia and the broader KSABYP Cluster. The role covers commercial, contractual, regulatory and governance matters that underpin the group’s industrial, services and project activities. Acting as a trusted legal business partner, the Counsel will own legal matters within their scope, helping business teams structure, negotiate and execute complex transactions while ensuring compliance with laws, internal policies and governance standards. The position blends hands‑on legal execution with sound judgement and risk‑based advisory. • Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to business units and functional teams across the cluster, focusing on Saudi Arabia. • Serve as the primary legal liaison between operational teams, management and internal stakeholders such as Finance, Compliance, Tax, HR and Procurement. • Identify, assess and mitigate legal and contractual risks in the development of business activities. • Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial and project agreements, including sales, supply, services, EPC, subcontracting, consortium and distribution contracts. • Support project and tender activities, offering contract risk analysis and overseeing contract execution for public and private bids. • Advise on contract management strategies and help improve contractual standards and practices regionally. • Interpret and apply applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, including local content, licensing and regulatory approvals. • Handle regulatory inquiries, audits and interactions with local authorities, coordinating external counsel when needed. • Support governance and compliance frameworks in partnership with Ethics, Compliance and Internal Control teams, and manage corporate secretarial matters. • Proactively manage legal risks and coordinate external counsel for litigation, arbitration, regulatory, employment, data‑protection and competition matters. • Ensure cost‑effective and consistent use of external legal resources in line with group policies. • Contribute to legal department initiatives, regional projects, process improvements and harmonisation of practices. • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the cluster and assess business implications. • Deliver legal awareness and training sessions to business and functional teams on key legal topics.
