About the Role
In this Cambridge role you will help develop concept studies, strategies and drawing packages that feed into planning applications, technical approvals and construction documentation, while supporting a variety of development projects across multiple sectors. You will be backed by the local team to grow your technical skills, engage directly with clients and stakeholders, coordinate with internal and external design teams, and ensure that every task meets budget, schedule, technical and legal standards. • Develop concept studies, strategies and drawing packages for planning and construction. • Support multiple development projects across various sectors simultaneously. • Engage with clients, stakeholders and design teams to secure technical approvals. • Deliver tasks within budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements. • Produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports and construction drawings. • Utilise software tools such as Info Drainage, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and PDS. • Liaise with highway, water, statutory and local authorities for outline and detailed approvals. • Apply relevant design codes (e.g., Water UK, DMRB, Manual for Streets, local authority guidance). • Participate in an inclusive culture with employee resource groups and diversity initiatives. • Take advantage of development opportunities such as training, mentoring and chartership support.

What You Bring
The role requires solid knowledge of highway design, drainage and flood risk, utility planning, and the wider development industry, plus familiarity with design codes, strong communication skills, and competence in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Info Drainage. • Demonstrate knowledge of highway design, drainage strategy, flood risk, utility design and development industry standards. • Communicate effectively in written and spoken form, staying current on climate change and sustainability guidance. • Possess postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience and be working towards Chartership.
