Perform club and banquet cleaning, setup, and maintenance duties
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Clean restrooms, foyer space, and furniture as assigned. • Utilize specialty equipment complying with all safety and procedural guidelines. • Polish, restore, seal, finish & maintain all flooring, including marble, granite, etc. • Complete extraction and spotting of carpets. • Complete high & low dusting of ceiling vents, wall decorations, etc. • Use various machines such as carpet extractors, scrubbers (ride‑on and walk‑behind), burnishers, floor machines, lifts, wet/dry vacuums, spotting machines. • Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas. • Use proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy furniture to clean the area underneath. • Properly use and dispose of chemicals when conducting area cleaning. • Conduct hazardous material clean‑up. • Provide courteous and professional service as well as proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, and other event equipment. • Quickly and efficiently retrieve all materials needed for setup for special events. • Ensure all venues are well‑maintained and cleaned prior to and/or after an event; assist with inventory control of catering equipment and furniture. • Communicate with supervisor verbally and through written communication throughout the shift to ensure proper notification and follow‑through of assigned tasks. • Provide prompt, courteous service to banquet members while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and for all banquet service equipment. • Safely drive and maintain vehicles available for transporting event materials. • Assist other banquet staff when needed and perform side work and other cleaning and organizing.

What You Bring
• Must have the ability to move furniture, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally. • Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet areas and keep banquet service areas properly stocked and cleaned. • Prior experience and proven success in the hospitality or service industry is strongly preferred. • Prior housekeeping experience preferred. • Prior special events set up / tear down experience preferred. • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required due to business demands. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
