About the Role
The MEP Superintendent provides coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work while developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. They plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection schedules to support project timelines, review construction documents for completeness and constructability, and coordinate plans with design engineers to resolve discrepancies. Additional duties include developing site logistics plans, managing Mortenson tools and equipment, collaborating with partner superintendents, and contributing to three‑ and six‑week look‑ahead project schedules. • Coordinate, plan, and supervise MEP scopes of work. • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships. • Ensure materials, equipment, and inspections align with project schedule. • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability. • Resolve discrepancies between plans and specifications with design engineers. • Contribute to three- and six‑week look‑ahead project schedules. • Develop site logistics plans and manage Mortenson tools/equipment. • Collaborate with partner superintendents.

What You Bring
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Excellent communication skills are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with an elevated level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success. Candidates should hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or possess ten years of trade experience. A minimum of eight years of construction experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role—preferably with a mechanical or electrical contractor—is required. The role demands the ability to manage multiple complex data‑center projects with strong attention to detail and a basic understanding of construction law and business practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, a positive professional attitude, strong customer service, and effective communication skills are essential. The base pay range for this role is $111,400 – $167,100, with higher ranges for certain locations such as Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C. The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
