About the Role

The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for processing and paying invoices while supporting a variety of other accounting functions. This role ensures accurate coding, contract agreement, approval workflow, and mathematical verification of invoice support. • Process invoices, verify coding, compare amounts to contracts, obtain approvals, and ensure mathematical accuracy. • Prepare weekly payment registers, obtain controller approval, and submit for corporate check processing. • Distribute corporate checks, match them with supporting documents, and release vendor/subcontractor payments upon receipt of signed lien waivers. • Expedite manual check requests for permits and special payments. • Prepare and process monthly invoice accruals and reconcile accounts. • Review documentation for duplicate payments, coding inconsistencies, and duplicate commitments. • Create and maintain vendor setups and manage 1099 vendor histories, completing year‑end 1099 filings. • Collaborate with managers and vendors to resolve problem invoices and meet month‑end deadlines. • Manage and maintain a listing of leased office equipment.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor of Science in accounting or finance preferred. • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; advanced Excel skills required. • Working knowledge of construction processes. • Experience with JD Edwards preferred.
