About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role also includes installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. The position requires promoting a safety‑first culture, completing preventive maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. Technicians will manage work orders, track labor hours and parts usage, maintain inventory, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with colleagues across the facility. The role involves physical tasks such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using an aerial lift, and regularly lifting up to 50 lb, as well as wearing required personal protective equipment and walking 6‑12 miles per day in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. • Promote a safety‑first culture by following all safety procedures. • Perform preventive maintenance routines and document activities. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment (belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc.). • Create, assign, and close work orders, logging labor hours, parts used, and equipment data. • Track and manage department inventory. • Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills. • Maintain positive working relationships across the operations facility.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems, along with two years of predictive and preventive maintenance experience. Additional requirements include one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading, familiarity with electrical principles, CMMS usage, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to work flexible schedules. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree focused on mechanical or electrical fields, knowledge of OEM and safety standards for material handling equipment, and experience with robotic operation and basic input/output troubleshooting. • Require high school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years MHE repair experience. • Require 2+ years predictive and preventative maintenance experience. • Require 1+ year blueprint and electrical schematic reading skill. • Require basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts. • Preferred: Associate degree or higher in mechanical/electrical field. • Preferred: Knowledge of OEM and safety standards for MHE. • Preferred: Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. • Physical: Reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, use aerial lift, lift up to 50 lb. • Physical: Wear required PPE (hard hat, face mask, face shield, composite toe shoes). • Physical: Walk 6–12 miles daily in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures.
