About the Role
The Engineering Assistant performs standard work supporting departmental needs, including data and records management, research, project support, and direct customer interaction. The role upholds PSE’s safety compliance standards, promotes a culture of total safety, and adheres to ethical business conduct and regulatory obligations. This position is classified as safety‑sensitive and requires pre‑employment drug screening. Key responsibilities involve using specialized applications and tools to review data, document system compliance, maintain records in both system‑of‑record and GIS platforms, and coordinate access with customers. The assistant ensures adherence to codes, standards, and design requirements, updates departmental processes, and supports emergency response and restoration efforts as needed. • Review and assess data and records for accuracy and completeness. • Document research for system compliance requirements. • Create and update data and records in system of record and GIS applications. • Perform data and records management. • Work directly with customers to arrange access. • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and design requirements. • Update department standards, processes, and tools. • Support emergency response and restoration efforts.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma combined with technical field experience or a drafting certificate, strong communication and organizational abilities, and proficiency with standard PC software. Desired qualifications encompass utility experience, familiarity with the assigned subject matter, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
