About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role also ensures the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards, complies with all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports. Key duties include thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, as well as reporting any safety concerns. Drivers follow route sheets and maps to service each customer, operate manual or automatic controls to load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities, and interact professionally with customers and dispatchers. Drivers must identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers, monitor waste for prohibited materials, clean accidental spills in accordance with safety policies, and maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness to minimize downtime. They are responsible for completing required productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports while meeting productivity standards and adhering to all safety procedures, including active participation in the ReSOP program. • Conduct pre- and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate a collection truck along assigned routes, loading and compacting waste. • Follow route sheets, maps, and dispatcher instructions to service each customer. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Monitor waste for prohibited material and clean accidental spills safely. • Keep the truck clean, including packer blade and body, to minimize downtime. • Complete daily route, productivity sheets, VCRs, and other required reports. • Meet department productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP safety program.

What You Bring

The position requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement, strong customer service skills, effective time management, and a commitment to safety, honesty, and pride in work.
