The Role: Lead an extraordinary leasing team and revolutionize the apartment living experience. AvalonBay seeks a Community Manager who will spearhead office operations, set new quality standards and ensure residents enjoy luxury living. This is an opportunity to redefine style and comfort in apartment management. • Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns promptly • Enforce lease agreements and community policies consistently and fairly • Organize and manage resident events and initiatives to promote community • Prepare and manage the property’s budget, including revenue, expenses, and capital improvements

What You Bring

The Community Manager oversees overall management of one or more apartment communities, handling leasing, resident relations, maintenance partnerships and financial performance goals. Leadership skills are used to build a better place to live and a top workplace for associates. • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required • Bachelor’s degree preferred • 5+ years of multi‑family or related property management experience (or equivalent retail/hospitality experience) • 2+ years of people management experience • Experience managing community operations, including financial performance, customer service, communications, marketing, negotiation, crisis management, and staffing • Experience using data/reports to develop solutions for customer service, revenue generation, and expense management • Proven ability to resolve resident issues effectively • Experience supporting, developing, and coaching subordinates to improve performance • Ability to exercise professional judgment with composure • Experience managing contracts with third‑party service providers
