About the Role

• Lead or support electrical design of power distribution, medium/low voltage, lightning protection, and grounding for DoD and mission‑critical facilities. • Develop integrated control sequences and schematics for power distribution equipment. • Create and edit product specifications for electrical components and power distribution hardware. • Coordinate directly with client SMEs to align power system components and integration. • Produce designs from site assessments through concept, detailed, and final design stages. • Translate client requirements into code‑compliant designs and generate Revit or AutoCAD electrical plans. • Conduct power system studies using SKM or similar software and perform onsite electrical surveys. • Perform quality‑control reviews of engineering designs and mentor junior engineers. • Prepare and review cost estimates for electrical scopes and manage construction administration, including shop drawing and RFI reviews. • Bring telecommunications design expertise for DoD mission‑critical projects and knowledge of UFC and NEC requirements.

What You Bring

We are seeking a creative and highly talented Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer – Federal for immediate employment in our Roanoke, VA office. The role requires an active Top‑Secret clearance and the position offers relocation assistance. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) with at least 8 years of power system design experience. • Maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) license, active Top‑Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a valid driver’s license. • Possess 15+ years of experience, including spot networks, micro‑grid systems, lighting design, and electrical commissioning. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, low‑supervision environment.
