About the Role

The Product Specialist works collaboratively with manufacturing plants to ensure Canadian market price and design requirements are met for accurate quoting. They partner with the Low Voltage Distribution Assemblies (LVDA) marketing team—covering panelboards, switchboards, and automatic transfer switches—to develop the Bidmanager configurator tool. Core duties include creating and maintaining assembly take‑offs in Bidmanager, providing technical support, and developing new take‑offs for upcoming product launches. In product development, the specialist supports cross‑functional LVDA initiatives by leveraging engineering and supply‑chain teams to accelerate new product launches. They help define technical requirements for panelboards, switchboards, and ATS take‑offs and gather national technical insights to capture regional design nuances in the Bidmanager tool. This expertise feeds value‑proposition creation and value‑selling tools, and the role contributes to specification reviews within the PROLaunch process. Day‑to‑day, the specialist manages customer and tactical activities such as order expedites, custom quotations, and warranty support to maximize on‑time delivery and satisfaction. They also lead the development of marketing collateral—including presentations, price lists, application guides, product aids, launch materials, electronic sales tools, and catalogs. The role coordinates with plants to improve the Bill of Materials generated by Bidmanager, ensuring accuracy before order entry. It also sets customer and sales‑force expectations for product launch timing and delivers new‑product launch training on Bidmanager. Strategically, the specialist supports the creation and execution of growth initiatives and profit‑plan objectives for the LVDA team to drive sustainable, profitable expansion. • Collaborate with manufacturing plants and LVDA marketing team to support the Bidmanager configurator tool. • Create, maintain, and develop assembly take‑offs in Bidmanager for existing and upcoming products. • Support cross‑functional LVDA product development, defining technical requirements for panelboards, switchboards, and ATS. • Gather national technical insights to reflect regional design nuances in Bidmanager. • Provide technical content for value‑proposition and value‑selling tools. • Manage day‑to‑day customer activities, including order expedites, custom quotations, and warranty issues. • Develop marketing collateral such as presentations, price lists, application guides, and electronic sales tools. • Coordinate with plants to ensure accurate Bill of Materials before order entry. • Deliver product launch training and set expectations for launch timing. • Aid strategic growth initiatives and profit‑plan objectives for LVDA team.

What You Bring

Success requires a strong understanding of power distribution and electrical machine control systems, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to build industry relationships that inform market needs. Candidates must hold a college diploma or university degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution. They need a minimum of three to five years of sales, marketing, or engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. The position is onsite (hybrid) at the Milton, ON facility and may require P.Eng., CET, or C.Tech designation. • Require degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, Marketing or related discipline. • Minimum 3–5 years experience in sales, marketing, or engineering, preferably in manufacturing. • Legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship; onsite hybrid role in Milton, ON. • Preferred professional designations: P.Eng., CET, or C.Tech.
