Security Guard - Part Time/On-Call

About the Role

Security officers maintain the overall security of properties by preventing theft, vandalism, and damage. They may patrol by vehicle, manage visitor logs at entrances, monitor deliveries, and assist guests with information and directions. Officers also protect against fire risks, enforce safety regulations, respond to emergencies, and may restrain offenders or manage parking enforcement. Constant awareness of risks and concerns is essential. • Respond to alarms and emergency situations. • Conduct regular patrols to identify irregularities and inspect fire control equipment. • Greet guests and tenants, providing site and area information. • Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, violence, and safety violations. • Perform fire prevention, safety maintenance, and parking/traffic enforcement.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a Guard Card (PPO#17681), and have 0‑3 years of related experience. Required knowledge includes state or local safety regulations, proficient conflict‑resolution techniques, and professional customer service. Desired attributes are self‑motivation, proactivity, detail‑orientation, teamwork, and strong time‑management and prioritization skills. Working conditions involve frequent standing, walking, and both indoor and outdoor activities, with potential overtime, on‑call duties, weekends, and 24‑hour emergency response. Physical demands include reaching above shoulder height, data entry, and verbal communication to gather and provide information. • Hold a Guard Card (PPO#17681) and possess a high school diploma or GED. • Knowledge of state/local safety regulations and conflict‑resolution techniques. • Strong customer service, self‑motivation, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
