About the Role
As part of this groundbreaking delivery model, AECOM will shape design excellence at scale and work with Scottish Water and Enterprise Partners to drive outcomes that deliver value for customers and go beyond net zero. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to support the programme and collaborate with a talented, diverse team committed to innovation and efficiency. • Design and review hydraulic systems, develop process flow diagrams, mass balance calculations, P&IDs, control philosophies and FDS documents. • Conduct asset surveys and site visits to assess existing processes and equipment. • Produce and review client deliverables, make technical decisions and ensure compliance with design standards and legislation. • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to secure stakeholder buy‑in and enhance AECOM’s technical capability. • Mentor junior staff, delegate tasks and oversee their work. • Represent AECOM in technical meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary solutions.

What You Bring
• Degree in Chemical Engineering (IChemE‑approved) or equivalent. • Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or CIWEM. • Experience in large‑scale wastewater treatment design and optimisation. • Knowledge of feasibility and optioneering studies, HAZOP procedures and DSEAR regulations.
