About the Role

This position is accountable for creating specifications and technical preferences for Crouse‑Hinds and B‑Line products in the assigned region. Customer coverage includes end users, engineering firms, contractors, OEMs, and distributors. The role contributes to regional sales goals and advances market adoption of new and focused products by establishing specifications and coordinating sales activities. The senior sales representative will expand specification influence with direct coverage of target and assigned accounts supporting local sales teams. The representative creates specifications and technical preferences by delivering product trainings for LED lighting, control and apparatus, cable tray, and the broader Crouse‑Hinds and B‑Line portfolios. They perform lighting audits at strategic end‑user facilities, inspect existing lighting, and propose new lighting plans. Additionally, they conduct safety trainings for end users in Class 1 Div 1 & 2 environments, demonstrating appropriate GEIS product placement. Sales activity planning and time allocation are managed for each distributor, major account, and major job within the territory based on sales potential. The role investigates and reports on new product potential, competitive conditions, and market opportunities for all GEIS products. Training seminars are developed and delivered to end‑users, contractors, agents, ECH direct sales teams, and distributors to grow business and strengthen specification expertise. Price and margin levels are maintained, travel and entertainment costs are controlled, and specification activities are coordinated with the ECH direct sales team and agents to meet sales objectives and quotas. Demand for Crouse‑Hinds specifications is generated among industrial, electrical contractor, construction, architect/engineer, and government accounts. The representative stays familiar with competitor products and pricing, continuously increasing knowledge of Crouse‑Hinds applications to meet customer needs. They conduct user investigations, provide training and support to Crouse‑Hinds sales teams and focused distributors, and assist with product launch integration. Specific targets are set for sales, training, and key customer development. • Develop and maintain specifications and technical preferences for Crouse‑Hinds and B‑Line products in the region. • Conduct product trainings, lighting audits, and safety trainings for end‑users and distributors. • Plan and allocate sales activities, manage distributor and major account relationships, and control pricing, margins, and travel expenses. • Investigate new product opportunities, competitive conditions, and market possibilities across all GEIS product lines. • Deliver training seminars to end‑users, contractors, agents, and internal sales teams to grow business and enhance specification expertise. • Generate demand for Crouse‑Hinds products across industrial, contractor, construction, architect/engineer, and government accounts. • Maintain deep knowledge of competitor offerings and continuously improve product application expertise. • Support product launches and achieve targets for sales, training, and key customer development. • Build and strengthen partnerships with major industrial distributors and execute growth programs.

What You Bring

Qualifications include a minimum of five years of industrial product sales experience and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in business, marketing, or technical sales. Experience selling into electrical or heavy‑industrial markets, six or more years of related sales experience, and a proven track record of exceeding quotas are required. Strong project management capabilities, organizational detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. • Minimum 5 years industrial product sales experience; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Sales; 6+ years related sales experience; proven quota‑exceeding record; strong project management and organizational skills.
