About the Role

Trainees support all phases of utility construction on telecom projects, assisting linemen with cable placement, hardware installation, and aerial tasks such as pole transfers and cable hanging. The position also involves general construction work like digging, conduit installation, and operating aerial lift trucks to position cables according to system designs. • Assist linemen with their duties and equipment handling • Place aerial and buried telecommunications cable (copper and fiber) • Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach hardware on poles and structures • Perform aerial tasks: new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, lashing • Carry out construction work: dig holes, install cable, air pipe, inner duct in conduits and excavations • Climb utility poles or operate aerial lift trucks to position cables per design • Maintain daily safety practices and uphold high‑quality standards • Apply hands‑on problem‑solving skills to complex tasks • Work collaboratively with team members on long‑term projects • Operate bucket trucks and climb poles safely
