About the Role

The Project Engineer I is a non‑exempt, individual‑contributor role that provides administrative support and collaborates with the project team to successfully complete construction projects, gradually taking on technical project responsibilities. • Provide internal project support through administration and coordination of tasks. • Set up jobs in Procore, create Job Information Sheets, and establish job files. • Assemble and review subcontracts. • Maintain data accuracy in project management software. • Create and process purchase orders throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop and update project schedules, labor tracking sheets, and perform resource leveling. • Coordinate Tier‑Subcontractor scheduling with project foremen. • Obtain and maintain all required permits. • Communicate utility, supply, and project issues with internal teams, agencies, and external partners. • Review basics of single‑line, lighting, and switchgear drawings. • Handle Requests for Information (RFIs) by comparing them to project drawings and specifications. • Manage the RFI process to ensure timely responses. • Track submittal documents and verify completeness before forwarding. • Administer project closeout by coordinating punch‑list completion. • Process field‑generated change order requests. • Respond promptly to project status inquiries. • Perform overtime as required to meet departmental and company needs.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or completion of an electrical training program. • At least 1 year of professional administrative experience or internship. • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / O365 applications.
