About the Role
We are hiring an Electrical Inspector to support Houston Airport Systems projects, ensuring overall quality and compliance while coordinating between contractors and stakeholders in an aviation environment. • Conduct daily quality‑assurance and code‑compliance inspections of aviation construction projects. • Document non‑compliant installations and coordinate corrective actions with contractors. • Review design and constructability of construction documents and provide feedback to the client. • Monitor contractor adherence to approved safety and security plans throughout all phases. • Produce daily inspection reports detailing construction activities. • Assist in monthly assessments of contractor progress and as‑built documentation for payment approvals. • Contribute to the development and execution of commissioning plans and processes. • Act as liaison between contractors and stakeholders for work that may interrupt normal airport operations. • Oversee sub‑consultants performing third‑party inspections, testing, or related services.

What You Bring
• Maintain familiarity with contract submittals, RFIs, change orders, and related project documentation. • Minimum two years of electrical construction inspection experience, or eight years in electrical construction. • Post‑secondary education preferred. • Ability to obtain an airport security badge and possess a valid driver’s license. • Willingness to pursue and obtain relevant certifications and credentials. • Proactive self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision. • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, standards, and codes. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. • Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with cloud‑based construction‑management software and PDF editing a plus. • Detail‑oriented and well‑organized.
