About the Role
As a Gensler Technical Designer you will work with a team of architects to bring design concepts to life. You will produce technical documentation and keep the lead architect and team informed to ensure projects exceed client expectations. In this role you will partner with the Project Architect to create accurate technical and contract documents for construction. You will coordinate the project team to embed design intent into construction drawings, participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, resolve technical issues, and maintain quality control. You will also collaborate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies, and use hand sketches and 3‑D renderings to convey design concepts. • Partner with Project Architect to produce accurate technical and contract documentation. • Coordinate the team to incorporate design intent into construction drawings. • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, and ensure quality control. • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies. • Use hand sketches and 3D renderings to communicate design concepts. • Submit portfolio and resume in PDF format for consideration.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program and have 3‑6 years of professional experience, preferably in commercial base‑building projects. Required knowledge includes building codes, zoning, materials, specifications, and construction techniques, as well as experience preparing construction documents and conducting field observations. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Rhino, and other 3‑D modeling software is required; LEED accreditation is preferred, and experience in commercial interior, multifamily, historic adaptive reuse, or hospitality projects is a plus. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program. • Possess 3–6 years of professional experience, preferably in commercial base‑building projects. • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, materials, specifications, and construction techniques. • Experience preparing construction documents and conducting field observations. • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Rhino, and other 3D modeling software. • LEED accreditation preferred; experience in commercial interior, multifamily, historic adaptive reuse, or hospitality projects a plus.
