About the Role

As a Health, Safety and Security Manager you will support the Senior H&S Security Manager and the Head of HSE in ensuring that health, safety, security and management standards are met across development and delivery areas, both by HS2 and its supply chain. You will role‑model and embed the ‘Safe at Heart’ culture, provide risk‑based operational assurance, and assist with compliance to occupational health, safety and security policies. • Assist senior managers to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards. • Support risk‑based operational assurance for health, safety, and security. • Oversee compliance with occupational health, safety, and security policies. • Support investigations of health, safety, and security incidents. • Provide H&S security services to development and delivery teams. • Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all work activities. • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. • Analyse problems, identify hidden issues, and develop rigorous solutions. • Plan, organise, and prioritise own workload efficiently. • Produce and review technical, assurance, and investigation reports. • Conduct assurance activities using appropriate tools and techniques. • Contribute to quality or H&S teams on major programmes. • Uphold HS2 values of Safety, Leadership, Integrity and Respect.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will work well in a team, possess strong analysis and problem‑solving abilities, and be able to plan and organise their workload effectively. They should have solid IT skills, be capable of producing and reviewing technical and investigation reports, and hold knowledge of health and safety legislation, occupational health, and security procedures. Experience in assurance delivery on large programmes, participation in multidisciplinary quality or H&S teams, and a professional H&S qualification (or equivalent experience) are required. HS2 does not sponsor work visas; applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from £41,092 to approximately £48,344 per annum, depending on skills and experience. In addition, a fully pensionable flexible benefits fund of 15% is paid on top of the base salary, alongside a range of competitive benefits available on the company website.
