About the Role
The role involves operating hazardous‑waste transportation vehicles such as flatbeds, van trailers, end‑dump trucks, 10‑wheelers, and roll‑offs, following all DOT hazardous‑material regulations. Drivers must safely navigate heavy traffic, perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and maintain equipment in clean, operational condition. The position is primarily outdoors and involves driving a GPS‑monitored vehicle. Physical demands include lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting objects up to 50 lb, using hand‑arm‑leg coordination, and working in varying weather, dirt, odors, and noise conditions. • Operate hazardous‑waste trucks (flatbed, van trailer, end dump, 10‑wheeler, roll‑off) safely in compliance with DOT hazardous material regulations. • Perform pre‑trip, post‑trip, and daily safety inspections and routine cleaning of vehicle equipment. • Conduct minor maintenance such as checking/adding fluids, tire inspections, and reporting issues to supervisor. • Report all accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, traffic violations, and emergencies immediately. • Operate hydraulic loading mechanisms and securely load, unload, and transport hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. • Package, label, and manifest RCRA‑regulated waste where required. • Follow the shortest legal route, avoid unauthorized stops, and adhere to Hours‑of‑Service rules. • Communicate professionally with customers and maintain accurate trip sheets, tickets, and logs. • Respond to emergencies within scope of training and cooperate with supervisors and team members.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a current Class A or B CDL with air‑brake and hazardous‑materials endorsements, possess a 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification, and be at least 21 years old. Three years of recent CDL driving experience (within the past seven years) is required, along with successful completion of DOT drug screening, physical, background checks, and any customer‑specific substance testing. Pay starts at $30 per hour plus overtime, with per‑diem available. The regular shift is Monday‑Friday, beginning at 5 am, and may include up to 1‑2 days of on‑the‑road (OTR) driving. Candidates with at least three years of recent CDL experience, a valid Class A or B license with air‑brake and hazardous‑materials endorsements, and a TWIC card will be given priority.
