About the Role
Key duties include preparing detailed estimates for new builds, remodels, tenant improvements and renovations, interpreting drawings and specifications, and maintaining cost databases to monitor pricing trends. The estimator will track construction costs, perform variance analysis, conduct value‑engineering studies, and assist with bid solicitation and evaluation. Collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors ensures that scope, design and budget remain aligned, while risk identification and mitigation are continuously managed. • Prepare detailed cost estimates for retail construction, including new builds, remodels, tenant improvements, and renovations. • Interpret drawings and specifications to assess scope, materials, labor, equipment and subcontractor pricing. • Support benchmarking efforts by analyzing historical cost data and industry trends. • Develop and maintain cost databases and indexes to track regional pricing fluctuations. • Monitor construction costs, provide regular updates, and perform variance analysis. • Conduct value engineering to meet budget goals without compromising quality or functionality. • Assist in soliciting, evaluating and reviewing bids from subcontractors and suppliers. • Prepare cost analysis reports and present findings to clients and senior management. • Forecast and manage cash‑flow requirements for retail construction projects. • Identify and assess cost risks, recommending mitigation strategies during pre‑construction and construction phases. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors to align scope, design and cost projections. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls where applicable.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field and has at least five years of cost‑estimating experience in retail, commercial, hospitality or institutional construction. Proficiency with estimating software such as ProEst, Buildertrend, Procore or Bluebeam, strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills are essential. The role may also involve adherence to SOX control requirements where applicable. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost estimating for retail, commercial, hospitality or institutional projects. • Proficiency with estimating software such as ProEst, Buildertrend, Procore, or Bluebeam. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Benefits
The position offers a salary range of $115K‑$130K annually, reflecting base compensation only, with the final offer dependent on experience.
