About the Role
The role includes completing the applicant screening process, preparing appropriate correspondence, drafting leases and addenda, and maintaining accurate lease records, waiting lists, and compliance reports in line with affordable‑housing programs and HUD regulations. Consultants also ensure timely entry of leasing data into the on‑site property‑management software and prepare apartments for occupancy by inspecting units, placing move‑in items, and distributing key packages. Marketing duties involve staying current on leasing techniques, conducting outreach through cold calling, literature distribution, and partnerships with government, social, religious, and community organizations. Consultants monitor competitor rental rates and promotions by visiting other properties, and they may mentor newly hired leasing staff. • Conduct resident interviews, determine eligibility, and showcase suites. • Quote rates, follow up leads, and collect application and deposit payments. • Manage internet leads and maintain social‑media engagement. • Screen applicants, draft leases and addenda, and maintain leasing records. • Ensure compliance with affordable‑housing and HUD regulations. • Enter leasing data into property‑management software. • Prepare units for move‑in and distribute keys and paperwork. • Perform outreach, cold‑calling, and partner with community organizations. • Monitor competitor pricing and marketing tactics. • Mentor new leasing consultants.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in customer service or hospitality is preferred. They should possess 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience, knowledge of fair housing and affordable‑housing programs, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ideally experience with Yardi/CRM.
