About the Role
The operator supports all phases of telecom utility construction, handling light construction equipment such as backhoes, cable plows, trenchers and hydraulic reel trailers, and maintains the machinery as needed. You will diagnose and resolve field problems and interpret utility locates and underground indicators to keep the crew safe and productive. • Operate and maintain light construction equipment including backhoes, cable plows, trenchers, and hydraulic reel trailers. • Troubleshoot field problems as they arise. • Read and interpret utility locates and underground utility indicators to ensure crew safety and productivity. • Maintain a daily focus on safety and deliver high-quality work. • Apply hands-on problem-solving skills to complex tasks. • Utilize Employee Assistance Program.

What You Bring
Successful candidates place safety first, have a strong record of quality work, and enjoy hands-on problem solving. Experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites, a valid equipment license, and background in underground telecom work (including MOS codes 12N, 12V, 21E, 21J) are required. Long-term commitment and teamwork are valued. • Possess a valid heavy‑equipment operator license. • Have experience with underground telecom construction; MOS codes 12N, 12V, 21E, 21J are relevant.
