About the Role

The Heavy Equipment – Preventive Maintenance (PM) Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on all types of trucks and equipment, including diesel and non‑diesel models, to ensure safe and productive operations. The technician carries out routine maintenance and basic repairs on electrical, diesel and gasoline vehicles such as compactors, excavators and wheel loaders. Tasks include inspecting equipment for condition, fluid levels and safety features, power‑washing as needed, checking and replacing fluids, greasing and lubricating components, adjusting systems, and changing filters. They also complete required paperwork, consumables reports, and drive equipment in and out of the repair area while adhering to all safety policies.

What You Bring

Candidates must possess basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Excel and word processing, and hold a mechanical trade school certificate or degree. A minimum of one year of experience in a technician role with knowledge of OSHA Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, and fire protection regulations is required. Employees may be required to complete the Republic PM Program and other applicable training.
