About the Role
The Engineer is responsible for managing, evaluating, and assessing all information needed to deliver the project on schedule, within budget, and to the quality defined by contract documents. Reporting to the Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Project Executive, the role supervises Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks, and Interns. The Engineer utilizes BIM, LEAN, and other leading‑edge technologies and must interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and schedules. • Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, Turner staff, and owner’s representatives to resolve plan and specification issues. • Oversee and make decisions on contract drawings and subcontract information, ensuring they align with estimates. • Manage the project budget and monitor financial performance. • Control submittals and shop drawings, assess conformance to specifications, and resolve interpretive conflicts. • Negotiate change orders, prepare independent analyses, obtain estimates, secure architect and owner approvals, and resolve disputes. • Oversee project close‑out, preparing final records such as RFIs, warranties, as‑builts, O&M manuals, attic stock, and spare parts, ensuring compliance with contract documents. • Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks, and Interns, contributing to performance appraisals. • Prepare scope of work documents for trades. • Develop reports on general conditions items, labor, safety, change‑order logs, and quality control. • Schedule and manage subcontractor coordination, pre‑construction, and submittal review meetings.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to read and interpret contract documents and technical specifications. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb, with accommodations available as needed. • Hold a bachelor's degree and at least four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and expertise in BIM and LEAN technologies.

Benefits
The position is located in Albany, NY (ZIP 12205) within Turner Construction's New York North division. It is a regular, salaried exempt role with an estimated annual salary range of $81,000 to $96,000 and requires 10-20% travel. This is an on‑site position and is not remote or hybrid.
