About the Role

As the Journeyman Electrician, you will plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The ideal candidate will mentor and develop Apprentice Electricians, promote FSG's core values through excellent customer service, and ensure the safety of all work. • Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to locate wiring and equipment, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before walls, ceilings, and flooring are completed. • Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste, allow future maintenance access, and avoid hazardous or unreliable wiring, complying with specifications, safety, and local electrical codes. • Layout and install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures according to job specifications and local codes. • Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, busbars, electrical feeders, power systems, and switchgear. • Repair faulty equipment or systems. • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. • Advise management when continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. • Meet attendance standards and follow late/absence notification procedures. • Maintain a current electrician’s license or identification card to satisfy governmental regulations. • Provide positive customer service.

What You Bring

• Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Possess three to five years of electrical construction experience. • Have a valid driver’s license. • Demonstrate ability to multitask while staying organized. • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
