About the Role
Mortenson is seeking a Surveyor who will perform survey and mapping of construction measurements and advise team members throughout all stages of a construction project through direct surveys and layout support. • Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment (base station, SCS 900, GCS 900) and laser level. • Care for, clean, and use surveying tools and equipment. • Perform basic surveying computations and read plans. • Take survey notes and document existing site conditions. • Guide new construction work through layout and verify structure locations. • Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least one year of construction experience, possess a valid driver’s license, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. The role involves operating specialized equipment, lifting up to 50 lb, and requires attention to detail and independent work. • Minimum one year of related construction experience. • CTS Level 1 or equivalent preferred. • Current driver’s license. • Ability to operate equipment including Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, laser level. • Detail‑oriented and able to work independently. • Strong active listening and communication skills, open to diverse input. • Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, leg movements and lift/carry up to 50 lb (with assistance for heavier loads).
