About the Role
A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck and provides prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver ensures the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift, adheres to all company, state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Daily duties include thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls, and reporting any safety issues. Drivers follow assigned route sheets, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact and dispose of refuse, and interact professionally with customers, dispatchers and supervisors. They identify and tag unsatisfactory containers, monitor waste for prohibited materials, clean accidental spills, and keep the truck clean and operational to minimize downtime. Required documentation such as route sheets, productivity logs and VCRs are completed to maintain productivity standards and compliance with safety policies, including participation in the ReSOP program.
