About the Role
• Read and interpret load charts. • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed. • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment. • Conduct daily inspections of equipment, checking fluids, refueling, adding fluids, and assessing component wear. • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors. • Assist other craft workers as needed.

What You Bring
The hydraulic and rough‑terrain crane operator must be certified and capable of operating one or more of the following cranes: 15‑ton, 18‑ton, 35‑ton, 50‑ton, 65‑ton hydraulic cranes, as well as a friction rig. The operator is required to learn and understand all safety hazards associated with the work and to use tools and equipment safely and effectively. Work is performed in plant‑operations or construction‑site environments. The role requires physical strength to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) and endurance for repetitive hand, arm, and leg use. Operators must have good hand‑eye coordination, be able to drive cars, trucks, forklifts, and operate hand and power tools, and climb or balance on steel or wood frameworks, ladders, scaffolds, and equipment. Regular tasks include frequent lifting, grasping, bending, twisting, walking on uneven or muddy terrain, and may involve confined‑space work or exposure to extreme weather conditions. The position demands clear communication with management and supervision, including speaking, hearing, reading, and writing to follow directions and safety policies. Operators must maintain concentration amid distractions, make decisions, and pay close attention to detail, remembering and observing work specifics. Effective decision‑making and a detail‑oriented mindset are essential for safe and efficient operations.
