About the Role

The Environmental Advisor will support the Framework HS&E Manager, helping to implement the HS&E strategy and environmental management systems to ensure projects meet exemplary environmental standards throughout their lifecycle. Key duties include providing advice to operational teams, conducting inspections and ISO 14001 audits, using KPIs to drive improvement, investigating incidents, delivering training, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. • Implement and maintain the Environmental Management System to meet client and regulatory standards • Provide environmental advice and support from planning through project completion • Conduct environmental inspections, audits and ISO 14001 assessments • Analyse KPIs and performance data to drive continual improvement • Lead or support incident investigations and report via the M2i system • Deliver environmental training, briefings and awareness sessions • Engage with internal teams, clients, supply chain partners, regulators and industry bodies • Support onboarding and performance management of supply chain partners • Escalate environmental concerns to the Framework HS&E Manager and Operations teams

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has experience in environmental roles within construction, infrastructure, water or other regulated industries, knowledge of environmental legislation and EMS, lifecycle project exposure, strong communication and stakeholder influence, and a collaborative, organised, proactive approach. Essential qualifications include a NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or working towards it) and a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel; desirable credentials are IEMA membership and experience on water or infrastructure frameworks. • Experience in environmental roles within construction, infrastructure or regulated industries • Knowledge of environmental legislation, management systems and risk management • Experience across the project lifecycle, including design and construction phases • Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence stakeholders • Highly collaborative, organised and proactive work style • Proficient with Microsoft Office and environmental reporting tools • NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or working towards it) • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across projects • Desirable: Membership of IEMA • Desirable: Experience on water or infrastructure frameworks
