About the Role

The Account Manager builds relationships and develops plans to increase sales and profitability for mid‑size accounts, generates leads through market research and networking, contacts prospects to secure new business, and works with internal teams to communicate pricing and drive sales while meeting quota, margin, and expense objectives. The role focuses on formwork and shoring products, providing outstanding service to call‑in customers, proactively developing a house‑account list, creating positive client relationships, generating new business through the sales process, and resolving customer issues with project service and management. • Provide customer service for sales and rental products using the Abacus billing system. • Maintain a weekly schedule organized before calls with the Sales Manager. • Develop and maintain knowledge of Jobsite Formwork products and pricing. • Qualify leads, identify opportunities, and manage prospects through the CRM system. • Apply analytical and problem‑solving solutions for customers and the company. • Monitor market behavior and competitive trends, responding proactively. • Meet weekly revenue targets: new opportunities, first appointments, site visits, and decision‑maker meetings. • Hold weekly meetings with the Sales Manager to review goals and sales activity. • Enter new orders into Abacus and generate billing from project start to close. • Manage accounts receivable over 60 days to bring them current. • Complete special projects assigned by the Sales Manager.

What You Bring

Work is performed in a typical office and service‑counter environment within a distribution setting; employees may be exposed to moderate noise, outdoor temperature fluctuations, and must be able to lift up to 75 lb and stand for long periods. Candidates need a high‑school diploma (college degree preferred), a valid driver’s license, and 3‑5 years of experience in customer support or inside sales within the construction‑supply industry, along with strong computer, communication, math, and blueprint‑reading skills. • Experience selling as an Account Manager or demonstrated success working with customers. • Experience with inventory sales. • Degree preferred. • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and valid driver’s license preferred. • 3‑5 years of experience in customer support or inside sales within construction supply. • Intermediate to advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and BlueBeam (learn within 90 days). • Strong communication, listening, and team collaboration abilities. • Excellent math skills for estimating, pricing, and preparing scope proposals. • Ability to read blueprints.
