About the Role

The Assistant Project Manager – MEP will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works in building construction projects, with a particular focus on hospital developments. The role requires deep understanding of how MEP systems integrate with overall construction to support functionality, aesthetics, and user experience. Key responsibilities include leading the initial design development of MEP services, assessing constructability, and reviewing design basis reports. The manager will ensure legal and statutory compliance, obtain necessary approvals, and coordinate with all service design disciplines, interior and civil vendors to achieve clash‑free designs. During execution, the incumbent will verify that contractors submit approved shop drawings, samples, and technical data, and will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting equipment. They will manage handovers by collecting manuals, test certificates, and as‑built drawings, and will follow execution, testing, and commissioning checklists. The role also supports the planning team by providing information, flagging potential delays, and tracking long‑lead items with proper documentation. Additionally, the manager will assist the billing team to ensure concealed works are executed only after required change‑management procedures are completed. • Lead design development and constructability review of MEP services for hospital projects. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve clash‑free designs and secure statutory approvals. • Review and approve contractor shop drawings, samples, and technical data submissions. • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑fighting systems. • Manage handover documentation, including as‑built drawings, manuals, and test certificates. • Track long‑lead items, monitor schedule delays, and provide red‑flag reporting to the planning team. • Support billing processes and ensure change‑management compliance for concealed works. • Select vendors and local material suppliers in line with procurement guidelines. • Provide training to the taking‑over team and ensure proper handover procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and possess 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in warehouse, industrial, residential, commercial, or hospital projects. Required skills include technical awareness of civil, electro‑mechanical, and architectural works, strong organizational and motivational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication in English. • Hold a B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 8–10 years of relevant MEP experience. • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and detail‑orientation skills.
