About the Role

The Material Engineer ensures that all project materials comply with specifications and obtain the necessary approvals from relevant authorities. This role involves reviewing contractor proposals, maintaining daily oversight of on‑site activities, and coordinating with supervisory personnel to align schedules and methods. • Review and approve contractor‑proposed materials and methods per Resident Engineer delegation • Prepare the Material Engineer’s daily diary • Oversee daily contractor activities, work assignments, on‑site performance, and provide operational guidance • Conduct factory visits and supplier plant inspections as required • Follow up on testing and obtain approvals from relevant authorities • Review contractor testing requests and completed test reports • Approve contractor submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer • Monitor material delivery performance and verify material accuracy on site • Coordinate with contractor supervisory staff on schedule, sequence, and work methods • Track contractor schedule conformance • Perform continuous field inspections and consult with both Resident Engineer and contractor supervisors • Prepare written and oral reports for the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a relevant BSc degree from an accredited university and possess Dubai Central Laboratory approval. They need at least ten years of experience in design, construction, and supervision of water pipelines, sewerage, rising mains, and pumping stations, as well as deep knowledge of Dubai’s infrastructure networks and ISO‑9000 quality inspection systems. • Hold a relevant BSc degree from an accredited university • Possess Dubai Central Laboratory approval • Minimum 10 years experience in design, construction, and supervision of water pipelines, sewerage, rising mains, and pumping stations • Thorough knowledge of Dubai’s existing infrastructure networks • Extensive experience with ISO‑9000 quality inspection systems
