Associate Director - Cost Consultancy - MEP

About the Role

The role includes line‑management responsibilities and supports marketing and business development within the candidate’s sector, while also contributing to the consultancy team’s promotion of Mace in the region. • Conduct feasibility studies, business cases, and procurement reports. • Apply value management techniques at project inception. • Lead estimating and cost planning, own and present final cost plan. • Manage full procurement process: pre‑qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection, contract preparation. • Oversee post‑contract cost variance and change control. • Direct cost checking, valuation work and monthly post‑contract cost reporting to client. • Participate actively in project meetings. • Perform value engineering and life‑cycle costing. • Negotiate and agree final accounts. • Serve as key interface with client and consultants throughout project stages. • Drive marketing and business development within relevant sector. • Provide line management and recruitment oversight.

Mace is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Director with an MEP background to provide full‑cycle cost management for large, complex commissions in the manufacturing and technology sector, including advanced manufacturing and data centres. • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, sustainability technology and modern construction methods. • Experience in manufacturing and technology sector, especially advanced manufacturing or data centres. • Proven record of winning and delivering work for private and public property clients across multiple sectors. • Working knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling. • Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills at all levels. • Digital savviness, ability to build lasting client relationships and lead high‑performing commercial teams.
