About the Role

Job Summary: The Sorter ensures proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line, handling tasks that keep the operation efficient and safe. • Inspect materials and sort items by type, size, condition, color, or paper grade. • Pull contaminants from paper or the floor. • Stack boxes and skids, and dump boxes and totes of material. • Feed wastepaper and other material onto the conveyor. • Clean the conveyor and surrounding sorting line, keeping the work area tidy. • Monitor machine start‑up and ensure proper operation at a moderate speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment operation and maintenance. • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions. • Attend weekly or monthly safety and operations meetings.
