About the Role
Mortenson is seeking an Operator Foreman to operate heavy equipment in compliance with Mortenson safety policies and regulations. The role includes planning, organizing, and directing operators according to project, state, and federal requirements. • Operate various heavy equipment (blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid‑steer, boom/aerial lifts, roller). • Follow safety regulations, maintain clean housekeeping, and perform routine maintenance and equipment inspections. • Execute work plans and pre‑task cards, adjusting sequences to meet schedules. • Assist in scheduling, estimate worker‑hour requirements, and resolve work‑related problems. • Supervise and coordinate operators, ensuring crew timecards are completed. • Lead by example, coach team members, provide feedback, and manage performance across diverse backgrounds.
