About the Role
The Relief Driver – CDL (A) safely operates heavy commercial trucks, including tractor‑trailers or straight trucks with pup trailers, to deliver and remove large containers. The driver ensures the vehicle complies with safety standards, follows all company, state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports. Key duties include inspecting the vehicle before and after trips, navigating designated routes, loading and compacting waste, interacting courteously with customers, performing minor container repairs, monitoring waste for issues, and maintaining productivity and safety standards. Drivers also document routes, productivity, and vehicle conditions, and participate in safety programs. • Conduct full pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate heavy truck safely along assigned routes, following route sheets and maps. • Use controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at facilities. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service. • Perform minor on‑site repairs to containers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable material and report findings. • Clean accidental waste spills in compliance with safety standards. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition and clean containers to minimize downtime. • Complete route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports as required. • Meet department productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. • Participate actively in the ReSOP safety program. • Uphold company policies and safety standards, avoiding unsafe risks. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Participate in Employee and Family Assistance Program.

What You Bring
Applicants should possess strong customer service, time‑management and follow‑through skills, demonstrate pride in their work, and adhere to company policies and safety standards. Preferred candidates have at least two years of commercial truck driving experience and mechanical aptitude for minor repairs. A valid Class A CDL with air‑brake endorsement is required. • Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and honesty. • Manage time effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently. • Demonstrate strong follow‑through and adherence to schedules. • Preferred: minimum two years commercial truck driving experience. • Possess mechanical aptitude for minor container repairs. • Hold a Class A CDL with air‑brake endorsement.
