About the Role
The role covers end‑to‑end project management, including documentation, scheduling, estimation, strategic planning, policy development, drafting complex correspondence, and representing the team to internal and external stakeholders. • Deliver expert project management, including documentation, scheduling, and cost estimation, to meet deadlines and deliverables. • Advise on strategic planning, program management, and policy development, driving innovation and business improvement. • Draft and prepare complex correspondence, submissions, and change requests throughout project phases. • Plan, coordinate and execute the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure. • Represent the team and program office to internal and external stakeholder groups, providing updates and managing changes. • Manage stakeholder relationships with clear written and verbal communication skills. • Maintain a current Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, with potential ITAR compliance. • Contribute to meaningful defence projects that protect Australia’s interests.

What You Bring
Candidates need defence‑related project management experience, relevant certifications (Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK), a related degree, knowledge of the capability life‑cycle and One Defence principles, and skills in governance, risk, compliance and stakeholder communication. A current Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is required, with possible ITAR compliance. • Apply defence‑sector project support experience and hold certifications such as Agile, PRINCE2 or PMBOK. • Possess a relevant degree or qualification in project management, defence studies or related fields. • Demonstrate knowledge of capability life‑cycle, One Defence principles, and governance, risk and compliance processes.
