About the Role
In this role, the engineer will advise senior construction leaders on ESHARP and SH&E processes, develop site‑specific safety plans, and collaborate with project managers to ensure contractor compliance. Responsibilities also include auditing worksites, managing incident reporting, conducting investigations, and providing technical support for risk assessments and emergency response. • Advise senior construction site representative on ESHARP management and Parsons SH&E processes. • Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training, and orientation aligned with regulations and client requirements. • Collaborate with SH&E, project, and program managers to evaluate and align contractors' safety performance and culture. • Audit projects and worksites, produce written audit reports, and detect/correct safety hazards. • Implement occupational injury and incident reporting procedures and conduct thorough investigations with root cause analysis. • Perform trend analysis on audit findings, inspections, and incident reports, delivering regular analytical reports. • Represent the SH&E manager on site and liaise with regulatory authorities during safety inspections. • Supervise emergency response team and first‑aid personnel for occupational injuries and emergency situations. • Oversee new‑hire safety orientation and ongoing safety‑related training initiatives. • Review risk assessments for upcoming work and provide technical assistance for safety planning.

Parsons is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer for its Abu Dhabi team, a role that demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The position offers a chance to apply extensive safety expertise within a leading global corporation and advance one’s career in the Middle East construction sector. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in safety, health, environmental or a related engineering discipline and possess recognized OSH certifications such as NEBOSH or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. They should have at least 14 years of construction safety management experience in the Middle East, including five years in a supervisory OSH role, and be well‑versed in UAE and Abu Dhabi safety regulations. • Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, environmental or related engineering discipline. • OSH certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5/6, and ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor. • Minimum 14 years construction safety management experience in the Middle East, with at least 5 years as OSH Engineer/Manager. • Extensive knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi health and safety regulations, including ADOSH‑SF. • Experience managing safety on both building and infrastructure construction projects. • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, and report‑writing skills. • Ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity and hold a valid UAE driver’s license.
