About the Role
The Supervisor leads a team of Make Ready Engineers, ensuring all engineering work complies with the National Electrical Safety Code, utility and municipal standards, and specific customer requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing OSP activities such as pole replacements and clearance compliance, reviewing and approving designs and pole‑loading analyses, creating complete permit packages, and managing joint‑use software platforms. Key duties also involve acting as the primary liaison with customers, utilities, municipalities, and internal stakeholders, delivering projects on time and within scope, tracking production metrics, handling escalations and dispute resolution, and driving process improvements, training, and staffing planning. • Lead and mentor a team of Make Ready Engineers. • Ensure all designs meet NESC, utility, municipal, and customer standards. • Oversee OSP engineering tasks such as pole replacements and clearance compliance. • Review and approve pole loading analyses and joint‑use applications. • Create and submit complete permit packages to utility and municipal owners. • Manage work within joint‑use software platforms (NJUNS, SPANS, AldenOne). • Validate pole loading using O‑CALC or equivalent tools. • Serve as primary liaison with customers, utilities, and internal teams. • Deliver projects on schedule, within scope, and to customer expectations. • Track production metrics, quality performance, and project status. • Report regular updates to management and customers. • Handle escalations, resolve technical/compliance issues, and support dispute resolution. • Promote process improvements, training initiatives, and standardization of practices. • Assist with workload planning, staffing, and performance evaluations. • Maintain at least 5 years of telecom Make Ready or OSP engineering experience. • Manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least five years of telecommunications Make Ready or OSP engineering experience, expert knowledge of NESC compliance, strong OSP infrastructure expertise, and proven leadership or mentoring experience. Proficiency with joint‑use software (NJUNS, SPANS, AldenOne) and pole‑loading tools (O‑CALC) and excellent organizational and communication skills are essential. • Demonstrate expert‑level NESC compliance knowledge. • Possess strong OSP infrastructure knowledge (aerial and underground). • Experience supervising or mentoring engineering teams. • Proficient with NJUNS, SPANS, AldenOne and pole loading tools like O‑CALC. • Strong organizational, communication, and customer‑facing abilities.
