About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous waste removal services while ensuring the vehicle meets the company's safety standards and all regulations are followed. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, following assigned routes and maps, loading, compacting and disposing waste, interacting professionally with customers and dispatchers, identifying and tagging unsatisfactory containers, monitoring waste for prohibited materials, cleaning spills, maintaining vehicle readiness, and completing required reports and productivity sheets. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate a heavy collection truck along designated routes, loading, compacting and disposing waste. • Read route sheets and follow maps to service each customer as assigned. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify, tag, and report unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Monitor waste for prohibited materials and clean accidental spills following safety standards. • Maintain truck cleanliness (packer blade, body) and ensure vehicle readiness to minimize downtime. • Complete required route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs) and other documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP safety program. • Uphold company policies, safety standards and maintain pride in workmanship. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Participate in Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP) and employee discount programs.

What You Bring

The role requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement, strong customer service skills, effective time management, adherence to company policies and safety standards, and a sense of pride in one’s work. • Hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement. • Demonstrate strong customer service, time management and follow‑through abilities.
