About the Role
The FAB Machine Operator role involves technical fabrication of raw materials within the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery. The position requires adherence to safety and hygiene standards while producing parts according to work orders and drawings. Operators receive assignments from their supervisor, set up PLC, analog, or manual machines, and operate the equipment to manufacture components. They also complete required paperwork, maintain tools and materials, and inspect finished parts against specifications. Routine maintenance of machining and fabrication equipment is performed by the operator, who also reports abnormal situations and submits maintenance work orders. Additional tasks assigned by management are also expected. • Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations • Receive work assignments and instructions from supervisor • Set up PLC, analog, or manual controlled machines • Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts • Interpret work orders, Kanban cards, and drawings • Complete required paperwork and system transactions • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation • Inspect final components against specifications • Perform operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment • Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED, be able to read measurement tools, and reside within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility (military members exempt). The job demands the ability to lift 35 lb and work without direct supervision. Required qualifications include a history of safe work habits, good attendance, basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet tools, and flexibility to work overtime on weekdays and weekends. • High School Diploma or GED required • Ability to read calipers, protractors, and tape measures • Must reside within 50 miles of Arden, NC (military exemption applies) • Able to lift 35 lb waist, shoulder, overhead • Proven safe work habits and good attendance • Work effectively without direct supervision • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet) • Ability to work overtime weekdays and weekends
