About the Role

You will create test plans evaluating RF devices, EO/IR cameras, user interfaces, networks, and software integrations. The role supports front‑end and back‑end software development in a fast‑paced, Agile environment. You will handle test setup, teardown, and safely operate small drones across multiple U.S. locations. Additionally, you will develop metrics, manage target placement, and brief executive leaders on findings. • Design and execute C‑UAS test plans for RF, EO/IR, UI, network, and software components. • Support front‑end and back‑end software development in Agile environments. • Conduct test setup, teardown, and safely operate small drones across multiple U.S. sites. • Develop test metrics, manage target placement, and provide executive briefings. • Produce detailed test reports for government leadership. • Apply systems engineering processes and test methodologies. • Manage multiple priorities in dynamic, politically sensitive environments.

What You Bring

Parsons is looking for a talented C‑UAS Test Engineer to join its Federal Solutions team. In this role you will design, conduct, analyze, and report on Counter‑Unmanned Aircraft Systems performance tests. A minimum of a Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, mathematics/statistics, or engineering, and have 2‑4 years of relevant experience (or 4+ years daily data analytics). Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, Linux, and test design/reporting is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of test methods and systems engineering processes are essential. You must be able to collaborate within cross‑functional teams and communicate technical information to multiple stakeholders. Managing multiple tasks with competing priorities in politically sensitive environments is also expected. Desired skills include basic mechanical understanding and experience working with tools. Experience with RF transmission, detection, and deterrence equipment, as well as UAS operation, command‑control, and guidance systems, is desired. Prior testing of Counter‑UAS systems and the ability to interface with customers at various levels are valuable. High tact and interpersonal communication skills are necessary for daily interactions with team members, clients, vendors, and end‑users. • Bachelor’s in CS, cyber security, math/statistics, or engineering with 2‑4 years experience (or 4+ years data analytics). • Proficient in Python, JavaScript, Linux, and test design/reporting. • Strong verbal and written communication; collaborate with cross‑functional teams. • Mechanical aptitude and experience with tools; familiarity with RF transmission/detection equipment. • Experience operating rotary and fixed‑wing Group 1‑2 UAS and testing Counter‑UAS systems. • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
