About the Role

As a Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will service and repair essential equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders that keep our recycling facilities operating for over 20 million customers nationwide. Your expertise ensures reliable operation of high‑skill equipment and contributes directly to the efficiency of our waste‑disposal sites. Daily responsibilities include repairing bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, loaders, yard trucks, tractors, forklifts, and company vehicles; diagnosing and fixing differentials, hydraulic, motor, transmission, drive, HVAC, and electrical systems; performing preventative maintenance according to site checklists; completing work orders, card files, PM checklists, and oil‑sample documentation; and servicing ancillary equipment such as light plants, water pumps, and welders. The job involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, as well as constant standing, walking, and grasping, often in noisy, dirty, and weather‑exposed conditions. Work is performed both inside garages or shops and outdoors in inclement weather, heat, or humidity, with exposure to cuts, burns, and toxic chemicals. • Repair bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front‑end loaders, yard trucks, tractors, forklifts and company cars • Diagnose and fix differentials, hydraulic, motor, transmission, drive, HVAC and electrical systems • Perform preventative maintenance following site checklists • Complete work orders, card files, PM checklists and oil‑sample documentation • Service light plants, water pumps, welders and other auxiliary equipment

What You Bring

We require at least six years of heavy‑equipment maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role. Candidates must be 18 or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination. Successful team members thrive when working independently, take accountability for the quality of their work, communicate effectively with colleagues, and approach problems with curiosity and determination. • Minimum six years heavy‑equipment maintenance experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean record, 18+, eligible to work in the US, pass drug screen and physical • Ability to lift, push, pull, crouch, climb, stand, walk and work in noisy, dirty, outdoor conditions • Independent, accountable, strong communicator and curious problem‑solver
