About the Role
The Light Duty Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor to perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. This full‑time, first‑shift role follows the company’s established standards, instructions, and procedures to maintain clean and safe facilities. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces, using commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting. • Wash interior windowsills, glass on doors, partitions, and specified windows; clean glass and trim at entrance doors. • Clean and restock bathrooms daily, including damp‑wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and paper dispensers, dusting sills, and scrubbing floors. • Monitor and report defects such; as clogged urinals or inoperative lights. • Collect building trash, place it in approved containers, and replace liners according to specifications. • Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. • Operate cleaning tools and equipment, including backpack‑style portable vacuums.

Benefits
The position offers an hourly wage of $17.60‑$19.55 CAD, with compensation determined by factors such as collective bargaining status, geographic location, market rates, and candidate experience.
