About the Role
The Maintenance Technician A works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air‑brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. This role offers the opportunity to work on a single fleet with state‑of‑the‑art vehicles, receive training on new technologies, and enjoy a regular shift in a stable industry while being recognized for exceptional performance. Principal responsibilities include maintaining advanced knowledge of vehicle systems to perform complex on‑site and on‑the‑road repairs, such as chassis component work, refuse body control, hydraulic and electrical systems, air and hydraulic brakes, engine maintenance, suspension, drivetrain, steering, heating and air‑conditioning, as well as welding and fabrication. The technician must identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools, complete required company training, and perform any other job‑related duties as assigned. • Perform complex repairs on diesel and non‑diesel trucks, covering chassis, refuse bodies, air‑brake, engine, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and complete required company training programs. • Conduct welding and fabrication for line‑maintenance tasks as needed. • Inspect and repair heavy‑truck systems including suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions.

What You Bring
Qualifications require at least three years of experience as a heavy‑duty truck technician and the ability to inspect and repair systems like suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions with minimal supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8), LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are preferred but not mandatory, and a valid driver’s license is required. • Hold at least three years of heavy‑truck technician experience; ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8) are a plus. • Possess a valid driver’s license; Class B CDL, LNG/CNG experience, and additional certifications are advantageous.
