About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Head of Legal, South Asia, the Junior Lawyer will assist the Regional and Country Heads of Legal in providing counsel, managing dispute and litigation matters, and conducting legal research and document drafting. The role also includes supporting contract review and negotiation, contributing to legal strategy development, and promoting good corporate governance at both regional and country levels. The position requires ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies, local regulations and Group directives, assisting with the implementation of legal and integrity directives, monitoring ongoing integrity activities, and coordinating with external legal counsel and service providers. • Provide legal advice and counsel to management across diverse issues and support dispute resolution. • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and assist in contract review and negotiations. • Contribute to the development and implementation of regional legal strategies and corporate governance. • Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and Group directives, including due‑diligence and integrity training. • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and service providers. • Participate in local, regional, and global legal projects and continuous learning through the Legal and Integrity program.

What You Bring
Hitachi Energy is seeking a dynamic Junior Lawyer to join the Legal and Integrity Department on a fixed‑term contract of 18 months. The successful candidate will take part in a specialised learning programme designed to build the skills and knowledge needed for a legal career in a global company, and will be exposed to a variety of local, regional and global projects. Candidates must hold a graduate law degree, be licensed to practice law in India, and have at least two years of relevant experience.
