About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to plan and manage resources, finances, scope, and services within the IT function to deliver business results. Responsibilities include providing IT products, services, and solutions on time, within budget, and with required functionality, while establishing and enhancing client relationships and contributing to strategy development. Key duties involve leading IT staff and resources in line with the IT Business Plan, managing project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensuring operational services meet defined service level agreements. The role oversees medium to high‑complexity projects, drives process improvements, and maintains strong relationships with business and IT partners, communicating status to stakeholders regularly. Additional responsibilities include coaching personnel, supporting career development, promoting diversity, and preparing the functional area budget. • Lead and manage IT staff and resources according to the IT Business Plan. • Plan and manage project scope, schedule, and budget to meet defined deliverables and IT standards. • Oversee operational and application maintenance services to meet SLAs within budget constraints. • Direct medium to high‑complexity IT projects and coordinate system integrators. • Drive process improvement initiatives and ensure adoption of standard procedures for top‑quartile cost and performance. • Build and maintain relationships with business and IT partners; provide regular status updates to stakeholders. • Coach IT personnel, support career development, and promote diversity and teamwork. • Prepare and manage the functional area budget.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and typically 8–10 years of experience in data platforms and data engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Candidates must have strong data‑engineering technical skills, knowledge of business data practices, and experience leading IT projects and technical teams. PMP certification is preferred, and strong analytical judgment, communication abilities, and budget management experience are required. Preferred qualifications include a graduate degree and a Project Management certification, which are considered advantageous for this role. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8‑10 years of data platform/engineering experience. • Demonstrate strong data‑engineering technical skills and understanding of business data practices. • Experience leading IT projects and technical teams; PMP certification preferred. • Exhibit strong analytical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work with all management levels and vendors. • Experience managing budgets for a functional area of responsibility. • Preferred: graduate degree and Project Management certification.
