About the Role
• Prepare preliminary and final independent detailed cost estimates for JOC/Formal Construction contracts, establishing negotiating position per change order procedures. • Support price negotiations. • Prepare claim analyses and estimates. • Produce detailed estimates of construction costs based on drawings, specifications, sketches, and square footages using standard estimating data and tools. • Review contractor’s claims and proposals for merit and accountability.

What You Bring
• Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs. • Extensive experience developing and estimating scope of work for change orders. • Ability to compare independent cost estimate with contractor proposal to quickly identify differences. • Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimate detailed costs independent of contractor proposal. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field. • Minimum 7 years full‑time professional experience in construction cost estimating for facilities or school building projects.

Compensation for this full‑time position ranges from $120,200 to $160,266 annually, depending on geography, experience, and client needs.
